Little Loops ยท Last updated 30 July 2026
Little Loops is a baby tracking app for parents and the people who help them. This policy explains what it stores, where it goes, and how to get rid of it. It is short because the app collects little.
What we collect
- Your account. Your email address, and your name if you provide one. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever see Apple's relay address.
- What you log. Your baby's name and date of birth, and the records you enter: feeds, nappies, sleep, growth measurements, medications, routines and notes.
- Crash diagnostics. If the app crashes, or hits an error it recovered from on its own, we receive a report describing what went wrong: device model, iOS version, and where in the code it happened. These reports are tagged with your account ID, so that when you write to us about a problem we can find the report that matches. Signing out removes the tag. They contain none of your records: the diagnostic text is code locations and internal identifiers, never a name, a note, or anything you logged.
That is the complete list. Little Loops shows no advertising, has no advertising identifier, and uses no analytics or tracking SDK. We do not measure which screens you open, or how often you open the app at all. The only third-party code in it is Google's Firebase, and only three parts of it: Authentication, Firestore and Crashlytics, described below.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication, operated by Google, on our behalf. A copy is also cached on your device so the app works without a network connection. Crash reports are processed by Firebase Crashlytics.
Who can see it
Only you and the caregivers you invite. When you share an invite code, the person who redeems it can read and write everything logged for that baby, and can log new records themselves. You can remove a caregiver at any time in Settings โ Your Village.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything. We access it only when you ask us to for support, and only as far as needed to answer you.
Children's data
Little Loops is used by adults to record information about their own children. The app is not directed at children and children do not create accounts. The records you enter about your baby are treated as your personal data throughout this policy.
Deleting your data
In the app: Settings โ Account โ Delete Account. This removes your profile and sign-in immediately.
- If you are the only caregiver for a baby, every record for that baby is deleted with your account.
- If other caregivers share the baby with you, the records stay with them and you are removed from the caregiver list.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. We keep no backup copy of a deleted account. Firebase may retain routine operational logs for a short period as part of Google's own infrastructure.
Your rights
You can view everything the app holds about you from inside the app, correct any record by editing it, and delete everything as described above. If you are in a region with rights of access or portability under the GDPR, UK GDPR or similar law, write to us and we will help.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, we will update the date at the top and note the change in the app's release notes.
